Immaculate Interior! Very Close To Original Factory Condition!

 

Original Owner: Mary Kent Chambers (1860-1946)
In 1882, Miss Kent(later married James Chambers) bought this organ for $120 in Hamden, NY. Miss Kent earned this large sum as a domestic for a minister.
Organ stayed in family until Feb 2005 when Granddaughter JoAnn Thompson sold it.

Company History:
Estey, J., & Co., Brattleboro VT 1863 - 1872. In 1869 a new factory was started on Birge Street at the Dickenson Farm, later called Esteyville. Reorganized as Estey Organ Co. in 1872 and as the Estey Corporation in the early 1930's, closed in 1959.
